Sequim native retires from the U.S. Navy

NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY ISLAND — The Navy Office of Community Outreach has announced that Sequim native Cmdr. Anthony Smith has retired after 21 years of active federal service in the U.S. Navy.
Smith was honored at a ceremony at the air station May 22.
Smith is a 1993 graduate of Sequim High School.
He was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.
