NWAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Peninsula women also beat Highline to advance to semifinals

KENNEWICK — The Peninsula College men’s basketball team defeated Highline on Sunday afternoon to advance to the NWAC tournament semifinals.

The Peninsula women followed suit Sunday evening, downing Highline 69-55 at the Toyota Center.

Freshman Imani Smith led Peninsula with 20 points.

The fourth-ranked Pirates will face top-ranked Umpqua on Monday at 8 p.m.
