Port Angeles High School’s interim assistant principal made permanent

PORT ANGELES — Jeff Lunt’s position as assistant principal of Port Angeles High School has been made permanent.
Lunt had served as interim assistant principal since Jeff Clark, previously assistant principal, accepted the principal position last year.
The Port Angeles School Board approved his appointment to the permanent
post Thursday.
“We are thankful for Jeff’s great work as interim assistant since July,” said Superintendent Marc Jackson.
Lunt, Clark and Assistant Principal Lillian Cone “make a great administrative team at Port Angeles High School,” Jackson said.
Lunt, a Port Angeles High School graduate, previously taught sixth grade at Hamilton Elementary School and served as assistant principal at the former Roosevelt Middle School during the 2006-2007 school year where he also had taught eighth-grade social science since 2004.
Prior to his work in Port Angeles, Lunt taught seventh-grade social studies and language arts for the Clover Park School District and fifth grade for the Franklin Pierce School District.
He has a master’s of education and educational leadership and principal certification from City University of Seattle, a bachelor’s from Evergreen State College and teacher’s certification from the University of Washington.
