PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson Healthcare Wellness Center offers a public open house from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Staff is available to answer questions and show attendees around.

Once it is fully opened Monday, the center will include exercise technicians Barbara Vane, Laura Rowan and Sarah Davis, plus administrative support from Terrie Comstock and Becky Carlson.

The center is located at 1200 West Sims Way.

Starting in November, the former Port Townsend Physical Therapy Clinic underwent remodeling to improve the space for the wellness center.

The Exercise for Health program for people with chronic disease or disabilities, currently located in the 1929 building at Jefferson Healthcare, is moving to the new center, a single-floor building that will include more accessible parking, restrooms and improved ventilation/ heating.

PORT HADLOCK — Paul Keller is retiring from Hadlock Building Supply, located at 901 Ness’ Corner Road.

On Friday, the store will celebrate Keller, who has worked at the business for more than 20 years, with a cake and more at 10 a.m.

According to owner Elena Lovato-Kraut, Keller “has held too many positions over the years to list them all.

“He is one of my go-to guys that, in my eyes, could do anything and was always willing,” she said in an email.

“Paul is already greatly missed in our HBS family. We wish him and his wife, Karin, all the best.”
