EYE ON CLALLAM: Election winners to be installed Tuesday

Clallam County officeholders elected in the Nov. 4 general election will be sworn in at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Judge Chris Melly’s courtroom, Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St. in Port Angeles.
They are Assessor Pamela Rushton, Auditor Shoona Riggs, Clallam County District 3 Commissioner Bill Peach, Director of Community Development Mary Ellen Winborn, Prosecuting Attorney Mark Nichols, Sheriff Bill Benedict, Treasurer Selinda Barkhuis, Superior Court Judge Christopher Melly, District Court 1 Judge Rick Porter, District Court 2 John H. Doherty and Clallam County Public Utility District Commissioner Hugh Haffner.
Nichols was sworn in Nov. 25 to fill an expired term that ended Dec. 31. He will be sworn in for a four-year term on Tuesday.
Members of the Clallam County Charter Review Commission were sworn-in at their first meeting on Tuesday.
No public meetings are scheduled this week for the Clallam County commissioners; Port Angeles, Sequim or Forks city councils; Port of Port Angeles; Clallam County Public Utility District, Olympic Medical Center or public school boards.
