Holiday Feasts — Free Christmas dinners to be served today in Port Angeles, Forks, Chimacum

Free public Christmas meals will be offered in Port Angeles, Forks and Chimacum today.

Port Angeles

The Port Angeles Salvation Army, 206 S. Peabody St., will hold a Christmas Day dinner from noon to 2 p.m.

The dinner is free and open to all.

It includes standard Christmas fare, including turkey, ham and stuffing.

Forks

In Forks, the Feeding the Five Thousand weekly lunch program will provide a free dinner at the community center, 91 Maple Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today.

Local churches have donated the food for the dinner.

Although the dinner is free, donations of cash or food are always welcome.

Chimacum

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church joins with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP) to sponsor a free Christmas dinner today.

The meal will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the Tri-Area Community Center in Chimacum.

Turkey, ham, salad, rolls, carrots, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, coffee, tea and pumpkin pie will be served.

Typically, the event attracts about 300 people, which includes about 90 home-delivered meals.
