WEEKEND: Creme Tangerine brings taste of Beatles to Port Angeles winery for benefit concert series Saturday

PORT ANGELES –– The British are coming! The British are coming!
Well, at least a facsimile.
Beatles tribute band Creme Tangerine invades the North Olympic Peninsula with a bombardment of the Fab Four’s greatest hits for a show at Olympic Cellars Winery, 255410 U.S. Highway 101, where the band will play as part of the winery’s Saturday Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Based in Kirkland, the quintet of Byron Prather on lead vocals and guitar; Chuck Dorsett on keyboards and vocals; Tim Mushen on guitar and vocals; Jeff Lockhart on drums; and Warren Kinser on bass has been a popular draw on the Peninsula, selling out concerts here over the past four years.
Creme Tangerine snags its moniker from a line in “Savoy Truffle,” a song on the Beatles’ White Album.
The band’s Peninsula performance comes on the heels of a re-creation Thursday of the Beatles’ 1964 invasion of Seattle at Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheater.

Proceeds will benefit Clallam County Habitat for Humanity.
