UPDATE: State Highway 112 east of Clallam Bay reopened after log truck wreck

Update: State Highway 112 was reopened to traffic about 2:30 this afternoon, the state Department of Transportation reports.

CLALLAM BAY — Traffic on state Highway 112 near Pillar Point Road was being detoured through a single lane this morning (Friday) after a wreck involving a single log truck.

The state Department of Transportation said the wreck happened at about 9 a.m., and Transportation and State Patrol troopers were en route as of 9:15 a.m.

The incident was reported near milepost 32 on state Highway 112, about 13 miles east of Clallam Bay.

The truck’s logs had reportedly rolled into a nearby ditch, Transportation spokeswoman Claudia Bingham Baker said.
