Sports: Final score … Chimacum 26, Port Townsend 2

PORT TOWNSEND — Michelle Glynn ripped a grand slam and had seven RBIs as the Chimacum Cowboys beat archrival Port Townsend 26-2 in a five-inning Nisqually League fastpitch game Monday.

The Cowboys scored 15 runs in the fifth inning to run away from the Redskins.

Glynn went 2-for-4 as the Cowboys improved to 5-3 in league and overall.

Chimacum had 13 hits and 15 walks.

Starting Cowboy pitcher Krystal Huntingford went the distance and improved to 2-2. She fanned nine batters. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs while Jennifer Monroe went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Paige Worley was 2-for-2 with four RBIs and Candance Ulrich had a double and two RBIs.

Chimacum plays at North Mason in a doubleheader Friday.
