Several bushes that were planted around the Peninsula Daily News’ Port Townsend office at 1939 E. Sims Way were hacked up by a vandal early Wednesday morning sometime between 3:45 a.m. when the daily paper was delivered to the office and 9 a.m. when reporting staff arrived. While giving Port Townsend Police Officer Drew Radford information about the cut shrubs, landlord Matt Caporiotti stated that it will cost about $1,200 to replace them, as some were bonsai.
