Jesse Adams, front, of Port Townsend, and son Evan of Allyn paint eyes on a section of the fence surrounding Port Townsend’s Memorial Field as their contribution to the Outsiders Street Art Project Port Townsend during Jefferson County’s first community public art project. Adams’ project, titled “Eye Strain,” had to be submitted for approval before work could begin. Each artist had an 8-foot section of fence to work on. The fence will be taken down, most likely next spring, to be replaced with a new one. (Steve Mullensky/for Peninsula Daily News)
