SPORTS: Chimacum boys and girls basketball teams open season by splitting with Klahowya

The Chimacum boys and girls basketball teams of the Nisqually League split with Olympic League’s Klahowya to open the season Tuesday night.

The Chimacum boys nipped the Eagles 70-69 in overtime on Klahowya’s court in Silverdale.

The Klahowya girls, though, returned the favor, beating the Cowboys 42-33 in Chimacum.
