ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Nico Musso, Sequim boys soccer

The Sequim boys soccer team is off to a 2-1 start this season and Nico Musso is a big part of the reason why.

First, last Tuesday, Musso scored a hat trick for the Wolves to give Sequim its first Olympic League victory in a 5-1 win over Kingston.

He followed that up with a goal literally right through the North Mason keeper to get the Wolves on the board Friday against the Bulldogs. The score set the tone as Sequin went on for a 3-0 victory over a rugged North Mason team for two league wins in a row, putting the Wolves near the top of the Olympic League standings.

Musso and his Sequim teammates next face a huge challenge today on the road versus league powerhouse Bainbridge.

Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Swain’s General Store in Port Angeles.
