Pirate men scrimmage in Sequim today

SEQUIM — The Peninsula College men’s soccer team will host an exhibition friendly against Highline at 1 p.m. today at Carrie Blake Park in Sequim.

Admission is free.

The last-minute exhibition came about when the Seattle Stars canceled another friendly match with the Pirates that was previously scheduled for Monday.

Peninsula’s Wally Sigmar Field is unavailable today due to some scheduled artificial turf maintenance work and Civic Field’s sound system is being upgraded this week, so the school moved the scrimmage to Sequim, according to Athletic Director Rick Ross.

All finishers receive a T-shirt and medal.
