Up to 10 wildfires on Whidbey Island across from Port Ludlow

COUPEVILLE — At least 10 brush fires are burning on Whidbey Island along state Highway 525 across Admiralty Inlet from Port Ludlow.
People asked to avoid the area, and homes were being evacuated.
The fires were reported on a milelong stretch from Scott Road to Double Bluff Road alongside the state highway that extends from the landing of the ferry from Port Townsend to the landing of the ferries from Mukilteo.
