Two people hospitalized following Highway 112 wreck near Neah Bay

NEAH BAY — Two people were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following a wreck on Highway 112 near Neah Bay overnight.

Driver Anthony Lawrence, 29, and passenger Tiara E. Dean, 19, both of Neah Bay, were airlifted to Harborview after their 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck left the roadway and plunged 40 feet down an embankment near the Snow Creek Resort, according to the State Patrol.

Passenger John A. Neuneker, 38, of Methow Valley was also injured and transported to the Neah Bay Clinic.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Auston J. Jimmicum, 17, was a passenger in the vehicle and was not injured, said the State Patrol.

The State Patrol reported that the pickup truck was traveling east on Highway 112 and failed to make a 90-degree right turn at around 12:47 a.m. The vehicle crossed the center line, went off the westbound shoulder and struck a large alder tree.

State Patrol said the truck came to rest approximately 40 feet below the roadway near the resort.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation. The State Patrol reported that drugs or alcohol were involved.
