Traffic shift on Highway 20 starts Monday

PORT TOWNSEND – Travelers who use state Highway 20 near Port Townsend will find a traffic shift at Kearney Street, beginning Monday.

Westbound travelers on Highway 20 at Kearney Street will start using the new roundabout on Monday. Travelers heading away from Port Townsend and the ferry terminal will now keep left at that intersection.

Eastbound traffic heading toward the ferry will continue to detour until the roundabout is fully open. The signed detour is available via Benedict Street and Washington Street. Traffic will be in this configuration for about four weeks.
