St. Paddy’s Day specials offered during Port Townsend Pub Crawl

PORT TOWNSEND — A Pub Crawl with specials on food and drinks at five bars will mark St. Patrick’s Day today.
The Port Townsend Main Street Program is coordinating the Port Townsend Pub Crawl from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
“It was so much fun last year, we can’t wait to celebrate it again,” said Kris Nelson, owner of Sirens Pub. Nelson also is deputy mayor.
For $5, participants will receive a souvenir glass, and a wristband making them eligible for drink and food specials during the event.
Participating are the Uptown Pub, 1016 Lawrence St.; The Tin Brick, 232 Taylor St.; Middletown Dreams Pinbar, 213 Taylor St.; Sirens, 823 Water St.; and The Public House, 1038 Water St.
Those who have their “St. Paddy’s Day Passport” stamped at all five venues will be entered into the “Pot O’ Gold” drawing for $50 in gift certificates.
The event is for those 21 and older.
The Port Townsend Main Street Program urges using designated drivers, Peninsula Taxi and walking.
All locations will offer a free or low-cost non-alcoholic beverage for designated drivers.
Some of the specials are:
■ Uptown Pub — $3 Guinness; corned beef sliders and corned beef and cabbage $1 off with wristband; open mic from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; free soda for designated drivers.
■ The Tin Brick — 50 cents off beer, $1 off wine and $2 off wood-fired pizza; Darts; free soda for designated drivers.
■ Middletown Dreams Pinbar — $4 Loko Watermelon and $1 Mickey’s Hand Grenades; specials offered for designated drivers. “Stop in to see,” the bar says.
■ Sirens — Irish whiskey flights, Irish beer and cider, and traditional food specials; free soda or coffee for designated drivers.
■ The Public House — Extended happy hour menu from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Free soda for designated drivers.
Tickets can be purchased at each of the participating bars as well as online through the Port Townsend Main Street website at www.ptmainstreet.org.
