SEQUIM — Work crews from the state Department of Transportation will close the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 101 near River Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

The road will be closed at milepost 263 to allow for pavement repairs, according to a DOT press release.

Westbound drivers will be detoured onto the River Road exit and then its on-ramp; eastbound drivers will use a shifted lane through the work zone.

The work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled.
