Road work to close part of Race Street today

PORT ANGELES — The northbound lane of Race Street will be closed from Lauridsen Boulevard to Park Avenue from about 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Southbound traffic will not be interrupted.

Road closures are subject to change based on the pace of construction.

The closure is part of the Race Street improvement project. The $4.9 million project will install a shared-use trail for non-motorists, enhancements for pedestrian safety, water main replacement and the addition of stormwater infrastructure.

Updated closure information is posted at www.cityofpa.us under “News & Announcements.”
