PORT TOWNSEND — Four Port Townsend High School seniors never bargained for what they”ve learned after befriending 11-year-old cancer patient Mike Morrow of Port Townsend.
Now, they want to share their experience with the world while also raising money for Morrow’s brain cancer treatments.
Melissa Harper, Max Mook, Aleah Pine and Pete Rasmussen are going on a 30-mile hike this weekend to raise money for the Mike Morrow Fund. If they get blisters or sore shoulders, they know that’s nothing compared to facing cancer.
That’s what they’ve learned from Mike.
“I want to emphasize what a great person Mike is,” Mook said. “I want you to know how cool he is and how strong he is.”
“It’s amazing how strong he is,” Pine echoed.
