PORT ANGELES — After two weeks at The Gateway transit center, the Port Angeles Wednesday Farmers Market will make the downtown transit center its home.
The Farmers Market Board of Directors decided unanimously Friday evening to hold the Wednesday market in The Gateway pavilion at 125 E. Front St., on a permanent basis, beginning next week, said Michele d’Hemecourt, market manager.
The city of Port Angeles gave the Wednesday market, which began June 17, two weeks of free trials in the pavilion to test out the location.
The Wednesday market, previously located at Laurel and First streets, will run through Sept. 30.
The Saturday market, which is held year-round in the parking lot at the Clallam County Courthouse at 223 E. Fourth St., may also give The Gateway a try in August, d’Hemecourt said.
