PORT ANGELES — A 16-lot preliminary subdivision reviewed by the Planning Commission on Wednesday night could bring the total number of lots in the city to 328 in 15 developed or proposed subdivisions since January 2003.
The Planning Commission recommended City Council approval of the 4.29-acre, 16-lot Bell Aire preliminary subdivision proposed by Jay Spivack at the corner of West 10th Street and Milwaukee Drive.
The zoning is RS-9 single family residential, which allows up to seven lots per square acre. The proposed lot sizes range from 9,234 square feet to 16,012 square feet.
The development will include improving Milwaukee Drive to 24 feet wide with eight-foot sidewalks.
10-acre park possible
A potential 10-acre park site is located at the corner of West 10th and N streets.
The surrounding area includes five subdivisions that have been proposed or built in the past three years. The proposed development would complete development between 10 and N streets.
