SEQUIM — An arrest has been made in the hit and run case that left a 13-year-old boy in Sequim injured.
According to a press release from the city of Sequim, police tracked the suspect to Muskogee, Okla.
Cole Douglas, 22, was taken into custody Wednesday on a nationwide extraditable warrant for hit and run with injury (class C felony).
After arraignment in Oklahoma, Douglas waived extradition and will be transported back to Clallam County to face charges of vehicular assault (class B felony) and hit and run with injury (class C felony), the release explained.
The vehicle alleged to be involved was also found and seized in Oklahoma before being processed for evidence.
The family of the 13-year-old victim, Colton Dufour, has been notified of the arrest, according to the press release.
