Five-year-old Lauralei Still of Port Angeles selects her colors to decorate a face mask at the Port Angeles Farmers Market on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.

The Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts allowed children ages 5 to 18 to come up with their own mask designs as a way to promote the arts and to bring a positive feeling about wearing masks.

The organization’s next Market Art activity, titled “Together We Soar,” will bring origami kits to the Sept. 12 farmers market, giving participants a chance to make folded-paper cranes that will eventually be incorporated into a grand mobile.
