PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation’s inaugural Red, Set, Go Heart Healthy Virtual Run/Walk and Swim in February.
Register for the run/walk/swim at www.omcf.org. Each event is $30 plus a $2.74 registration fee.
Proceeds from the event, presented by Strait View Credit Union, will benefit the Olympic Medical Center Heart Center in Sequim.
During February, the officially designated heart month, registrants can choose between a 5K, 10K, half-marathon (13.1 miles) or marathon (26.2 miles) or marathon relay, and can either run, walk or swim any of the distances.
“Participants can complete it all in one day or throughout the month,” said Karen Rogers, chair of the fundraising luncheon, Red, Set, Go, and an OMC Foundation Board member.
“This is the start line that keeps on giving event.”
All participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt, finisher medal, bib and several other items courtesy of Strait View Credit Union.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Red, Set, Go Heart Luncheon, sponsored by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, which also benefits the heart center, and will be held virtually Feb. 26.
The $60 ticket includes lunch to be picked up Feb. 26, a bottle of wine as well as the annual event giveaway.
