COASST to present beached-bird training

The University of Washington Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team will present beached-bird training from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20.

The free training will stream on Zoom.

The training will provide volunteers with the skills to collect survey data on beach-cast marine bird carcasses.

No prior experience is needed, but volunteers should be interested in surveying a specific beach at least once a month.

The data collected will help track patterns of marine bird mortality on North Pacific beaches.
