Christmas Eve Posada slated

PORT TOWNSEND — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will host a Christmas Eve Posada at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The service, which depicts Mary and Joseph’s search for lodging in Bethlehem, is at St. Paul’s, 1020 Jefferson St.

The service is outdoors and moves from place to place on the church’s campus; attendees are encouraged to dress for the cold weather.

The service, which includes singing and readings, concludes in the sanctuary with a children’s Christmas message and caroling.

“Posada reminds us to welcome the stranger, the refugee, and those without homes and in need of shelter,” said the Rev. Dianne Andrews, rector of St. Paul’s.

Hot cocoa and cider will be served in the parish hall after the service.
