Northwest Wine Cheese Tour this weekend

Spring is bursting out all over the North Olympic Peninsula, including inside the region’s nine artisan wineries and cideries.

The public is invited to visit and taste the flavors of the season during the Northwest Wine & Cheese Tour of the Peninsula’s wineries and cideries from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Advance tickets are available online for $35; they will be $40 at the door of participating wineries. Tour tickets include wine and cheese tasting at all nine wineries and cideries plus a commemorative wine glass.

To those without tickets, each venue charges a $10 tasting fee. For tickets and information, go to www.olympicpeninsulawineries.org.

Spring wine and cider releases will be paired with fresh, locally-made cheeses to enjoy as visitors travel at their own pace from Chimacum to Sequim and Port Angeles.

Live music, art and beautiful scenery will round out the celebration of spring.
