Local musicians unite for a charitable concert

PORT ANGELES — Local musicians will perform to raise money for the Dick and Alice Rapasky Memorial Scholarship at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The concert, Her Voice, is at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Lopez Ave.

Donations at the concert will go directly to Music on the Strait’s Rapasky Scholarship Program; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Performers include Noah Smith, Nathan Rodahl, Morgan Bartholick-LeMaire, Phil Morgan-Ellis, Avery Saul, Kelly Sanderbeck, Liz Hopkins and Krista Smith.

The scholarship provides support for young string players in Clallam County by offering them private lessons to nurture their musical talents.

This fundraiser is specifically aimed at sponsoring local young women in their pursuit of musical dreams.

The program features solo and chamber works of female composers such as Lili Boulanger, Carol Barnett, Amy Beach, Florence Price and Rebecca Clarke
