The new parking lot is using permeable pavement over a layer of gravel of 2 feet to 4 feet thick. The project is retrofitting the east city hall parking lot with a new stormwater detention and treatment infrastructure. The project will help manage runoff, slow down peak flow and remove pollutants before connecting and flowing into Peabody Creek. The parking lot will reopen to the public on Monday.
