Ben is pictured with his father Tyler Sweet and mother Stephanie Sweet. Whitman competes at the NCAA Division III level and has recently been ranked in the division's top 25 programs.

Port Angeles Naval Elks Lodge Hoopshoot winners advancing to the district finals are from left, Quinn Herr, Skylar Wheeler, Morgan Politika, Sawyer Davis, Makai McAfee, Jude Sprague and event coordinator Evan Boyd. The district finals will be held at the Vern Burton Community Center with registration beginning at noon. 
Hoopshoot is an annual basketball free-throw shooting contest for children ages eight to 13 across the country.
