(Boat School donation)   In support of veterans at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock, the Port Townsend Elks Lodge presented the school with a $3,000 donation earlier this month. From left are Elks board chair Jerry Lucas, Elks officers Jim Aman and Shirlee Beck, Elks veteran chair Rita Frangione, VetCorps peer specialist Antonio Romero and boatbuilding instructor Tucker Piontek. The free electric-vehicle charging station at the First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Franklin St. in Uptown Port Townsend, has been increasingly busy in the months since it was installed. One user sent a thank-you note to Holly Hallman, chairperson of the church’s Social Action, Justice and Environment committee.
