Event brings together regional wineries, local talent and community across the Olympic Peninsula

What began as a shared passion for wine and community has grown into one of the Olympic Peninsula’s most anticipated seasonal events.

The 7 Cedars Resort and Casino has long been rooted in community outreach, and its annual Wine Festival reflects that commitment, blending together regional flavor, local connection and charitable impact.

The festival began when Art Green, founder of the Tre Green Guild, and Matt Eveland, then Food & Beverage Manager at Cedars at Dungeness, came together over a shared enthusiasm for wine and a desire to give back.

The two envisioned an event where they could support a meaningful local cause while shining light on smaller, local wineries across the region.

Over the years, the festival has expanded its charitable focus and found a long-term partner in the Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, strengthening its mission to keep the impact local.

“From the beginning, the festival was always about more than just wine, it was about creating something meaningful for the community,” says Olivia Bennett, Director of The Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course and 7 Cedars.

“We’ve watched this festival grow from wine tastings to a community gathering that people genuinely enjoy and look forward to each year.”

Today, the Wine Festival brings together wineries, guests and local businesses with the addition of Friday night auctions, live music from local performers and on-site raffles.

“Each year we build upon what the community has responded to,” Bennett says. “Whether it’s introducing new wineries or adding live entertainment, the goal is always to elevate the guest experience while supporting a cause that stays right here in Clallam County.”

Funds raised through the festival will directly benefit Habitat for Humanity Clallam County’s work on building and repairing affordable housing for local families in need.

This includes helping cover construction costs, materials and critical home repairs to allow families to live in their homes safely.

“We strive to strengthen the local economy by promoting events and creating opportunities for our guests,” Bennett says.

“With every glass poured and every bid placed, attendees are helping fun safe, affordable housing – turning a weekend celebration into a lasting impact for families across the Olympic Peninsula.”
