Peace pole dedicated

About three dozen people attended a special dedication of an 8-foot Peace Pole on Saturday at Pebble Beach Park near the Port Angeles waterfront. The pole has the words “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in English, Klallam, Japanese, French, Spanish, Tibetan, Hebrew and Ukrainian. The pole brings together in this joint two-year endeavor the Nor’Wester Rotary Club, the Lower Elwha Klallan Tribe, the city of Port Angeles and various community members.
