Planned power outage to affect 4,100 West End customers Thursday night

CARLSBORG — Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1 will turn off electricity to West End customers from 11 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday.

The planned outage will affect about 4,100 customers along U.S. Highway 101 west of Lake Crescent to, and including, Forks.

Work crews from the district will replace a damaged transmission power pole that was struck by a car, according to a press release.

Automated calls have gone out to all affected customers; those who did not receive a call should contact the utility district to verify their telephone number.
