Clallam Master Gardeners to talk about watering in garden, landscape

SEQUIM — Clallam County master gardeners Tom del Hotal, Susan Kalmar and Roger Steinert will present “Watering the Garden and Landscape” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The free presentation is part of the Digging Deeper series at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road.

The team-taught session will cover problems that may result from improper watering; principles of watering including where to water, the timing of watering and amount of water needed; types of irrigation systems, with a focus on drip irrigation; and water conservation.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a drip watering system.
