Above, lightning from a passing storm lights up the sky over Port Townsend on Saturday.

According to Accuweather.com, the National Weather Service reported that Washington was rattled by an estimated 2,200 lightning strikes between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday.

Below, Sequim resident Witta Priester sent in this photo looking over downtown Sequim from the south at lightning bolts as a storm came through the Strait of Juan de Fuca on Saturday at about 9:15 p.m.
