Highlights of Jefferson County Fair

PORT TOWNSEND — The three-day Jefferson County Fair will begin Friday.

Gates will open at 8 a.m. for ticket sales all three days. The fair will close at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Animal shows and other 4-H events are scheduled every day.

Here are some other highlights of the fair.

Friday

• 6:30 p.m. — Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” (small stage)

• 7 p.m. — Cat Knowledge Bowl (cat building)

Saturday

• 11 a.m. — The Unexpected Brass Band begins an Everybody’s Welcome Parade through the fairgrounds from the small stage.

• 11:30 a.m. — Lawnmower Football (main stage)

• Noon to 3 p.m. — Salmon barbecue in picnic area; fee charged.

• 12:30 p.m. — 4-H Leader of the Year (4-H building)

• 1 p.m. — Kellee Bradley (small stage)

• 3 p.m. — Dukes of Dabob (small stage)

• 3:30 p.m. — Draft Horse Pulls (main stage)

• 6 p.m. — Brian “Buck” Ellard (small stage)

• 7 p.m. — Lawnmower Demolition Derby (main stage)

Sunday

• 10 a.m. — Barrel Racing (horse arena)

• 11 a.m. — Mud Drags (main stage); Nate Botsford (small stage)

• 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Beef barbecue in picnic area, fee charged.

• 1 p.m. — Breakaway roping (horse arena)

• 1:30 p.m. — Bobbie Socks and the Jukebox (small stage)

• 2:30 p.m. — Team roping (horse arena)

• 3:30 p.m. Funaddicts (Small Stage)

Greatest Kids Show on Dirt

• Friday: 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.

Saturday: 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.

• Sunday: 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
