Port Townsend Marine Science Center awards the 2019 Anne Murphy Ocean Stewards Scholarship

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Marine Science Center awarded the 2019 Anne Murphy Ocean Stewards Scholarship to Grace Johnson of Nordland at its annual members meeting July 9.

Johnson, a recent graduate of Chimacum High School, has been involved with ecosystem projects, participated in programs with the Northwest Watershed Institute and volunteered at the marine science center.

She plans to use the $1,500 scholarship this fall at Peninsula College in Port Angeles.
