Ridge Riders Lacrosse for ages 7-12

PORT ANGELES — Children ages 7 to 12 can register for Ridge Riders Lacrosse, a new youth lacrosse option on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Online registration is available at www.northwestsportsassociation.org.

In-person registration will be held at the Vern Burton Gym, 308 E. Fourth St., from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17-18.

The cost of participation is $100 and all gear is included.

The program is a partnership between the Northwest Sports Association and Mountaineers Lacrosse.

Storm King soccer

PORT ANGELES — The Storm King Boys U-17 team, who won the North Puget Sound League this year with a 10-1-1 record, is home this weekend for a pair of matches in the group play stage of the Washington Youth Soccer Founders Cup.

Storm King tackles Seattle United Shoreline on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sigmar Field at Peninsula College and then takes on Federal Way Football Club at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, also at Sigmar Field.

The Storm King boys opened the post season with a 12-1 romp over Redmond’s Crossifire on Jan. 13.

The team is coached by Aaron St. George and Michael McAleer.
