SEQUIM — Sequim Public Works employee Clint Rushton has retired after 33 years of service.

Rushton retired Wednesday.

He began work with the city of Sequim on Aug. 1, 1984, as a caretaker of parks and facilities and worked as a meter reader.

In 1996, Rushton drove the city garbage truck. He began working on the sewer crew in 2004, and served primarily in that capacity until his retirement.

“The city was fortunate to be able to tap into Clint’s many years of experience covering all aspects of Public Works. We want to thank him for his service and we wish him a happy retirement,” said Public Works Director David Garlington.
