Port Angeles man investigated after King County wreck

DUVALL — A Port Angeles man is under investigation for vehicular assault and driving under the influence after causing a head-on wreck in King County on Saturday, the State Patrol said.

Gerald L. King, 50, of Port Angeles was traveling south on state Highway 203 when the 2016 Ford Focus he was driving crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Hyundai Tucson driven by Ann A. Good, 45, of Woodinville, according to a State Patrol collision memo.

King, Good and Good’s 10-year-old son were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, said Trooper Rick Johnson, State Patrol spokesman.

The boy, who was not named by the State Patrol, remained at the Seattle hospital Thursday, Johnson said.

The wreck occurred at about 8:22 p.m. Saturday just south of 288th Ave. N.E. near Duvall. The roadway was blocked for nearly four hours, according to the collision memo.

Troopers obtained a search warrant for a blood sample from King. The results of the blood test are pending with a State Patrol toxicology lab.

Detectives are seeking witnesses to the collision.
