PORT TOWNSEND — Two Port Hadlock women were injured Thursday morning in a three-car wreck on state Highway 19, according to the State Patrol.

Barbara G. York, 59, was treated and discharged from the emergency room at Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Cynthia R. Maben, 38, was injured but declined to be taken to a hospital, the State Patrol said.

At 7:52 a.m., York, driving a 2012 Honda Fit, and Doreen A. Carpenter, 54, of Nordland, driving a 2007 Ford F150, were stopped at a traffic light on northbound Highway 19 at its intersection with state Highway 20, according to the State Patrol.

Maben, driving a 1992 Honda Accord northbound on Highway 19, failed to stop and hit the back of the Honda, which hit the back of the Ford, according to the State Patrol.

Maben was cited for speed too fast for conditions, according to the State Patrol.

None of the cars had passengers.

Carpenter was not injured, according to the report.

The roadway was blocked for an hour as police investigated the wreck and the vehicles were removed, the State Patrol said.
