PORT TOWNSEND — Marking the 49th annual “big show” by the O’Meara Dance Studio, “Remember Us” will be performed tonight (Saturday) at 6 in the Port Townsend High School auditorium, 1500 Van Ness St.

Tickets — $15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors, and free for children younger than 4 — will be sold at the door.

The first performance was Thursday.

More than 130 students, ages 3-19, dance in the show, which will feature a variety of styles: ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and lyrical.

“Remember Us” is a tribute show to the forefathers, and foremothers, of dance. It will include pieces evoking Shirley Temple, Michael Jackson and others.

A special fundraiser show also is scheduled at 1 p.m. today in the high school auditorium.

It will feature adult dancers as well as award-winning routines by the company.

Admission to the fundraiser show is a suggested donation of $5.

The funds will support the Senior Company of the O’Meara Dance Studio, which will compete at a national level for Move Productions in Palm Springs, Calif.

The dance studio is at 1110 Lawrence St. in Port Townsend. The phone number is 360-379-4951.
