Brinnon: Chamber hopes to get Rep. Dicks involved on Dosewallips Road issue

BRINNON — South Jefferson County business officials are hoping to enlist the support of Rep. Norm Dicks in their fight to have the Dosewallips Road rebuilt.

A letter to Dicks, D-Bremerton, was approved by the Quilcene/Brinnon Chamber of Commerce at the group’s Wednesday meeting.

In it economic reasons for rebuilding the road are emphasized.

A 300-foot section of the road leading to the U.S. Forest Service’s Elkhorn campground and Olympic National Park washed out during flooding on the Dosewallips River in January 2002.
