Jefferson: Only four more file for office Thursday

PORT TOWNSEND — Four more people filed for office Thursday, the slowest filing day of the week so far.

As of Thursday, no candidates had filed for 15 of the offices on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.

And only a handful of political offices will have contested races, including the Position No. 3 race for the Port Townsend School Board.

David W. Walker of Port Townsend filed Thursday to run against Tracy Reinhart of Port Townsend.

Reinhart filed for office Wednesday.

The positions carries a two-year unexpired term.

Filing ends at 5 p.m today at the Jefferson County Auditor’s Office in the Jefferson County Courthouse in Port Townsend.
