The President’s Day Tournament sponsored by Ruddell Auto held in Port Angeles on Saturday and Sunday featured fourth- through eighth-grade teams, some of which came from as far away as Mount Vernon and Blaine. A total of 30 teams played in the tournament held at Port Angeles High School and Roosevelt Elementary. Snow and ice may have forced a delay but the Sequim Elks Lodge recently held its National Hoop Shoot competition at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club. Contestants included, from left, Bennett Castell, Grayson Castell, Roman Bacchus, Maks Lopez and Luca Blake.
