- How to improve urinary control (hint: it’s more than just “Kegels”)
- How bowel & bladder health are connected
- How to improve pelvic tissue health and quality of life
Meet Amy-Irene Lynch, PT
Physical Therapist Amy-Irene Lynch has served the East Jefferson County community for nearly two decades. Over the past 18 years, she has helped patients recover from injury, surgery and chronic conditions while building a trusted rehabilitation practice in Port Hadlock.
Now, Lynch and her team have joined Jefferson Healthcare while continuing to care for patients in the same familiar location.
In addition to general rehabilitation services, Lynch brings specialized expertise in pelvic health physical therapy, an area of care that many people are surprised to learn can be treated through physical therapy.
Pelvic health physical therapy can help people of all genders and ages who experience conditions such as:
- Bladder or bowel dysfunction
- Incontinence
- Constipation
- Pelvic pain
- Postpartum recovery concerns
Pelvic health physical therapy focuses on strengthening and retraining the pelvic floor muscles to enhance comfort, control, and overall well-being.
“We work with people of all genders and ages who are struggling with bowel and bladder dysfunction, pelvic pain, and other pelvic floor conditions,” Lynch says. “These are important functions of the body that have a major impact on quality of life, and physical therapy can often help restore that function.”
