Death Notices

Death Notices are available through the News Department for North Olympic Peninsula residents, and former residents, when the information is provided (see the Death Notice form on the Legacy/obituary page, toward the bottom). There are no photos or insignias with death notices.

As a public service, death notices are provided free of charge for a one-time publication.

Obituaries

Survivors who wish to write their loved one’s obituary are encouraged to do so and email the draft to obits@peninsuladailynews.com or fill out the form below. Please include your contact information with your submission.

We can publish obituaries in the Peninsula Daily News, Sequim Gazette, Forks Forum, or any combination of these publications. Photos are welcome.

We also offer an Obituary Guidance Sheet upon request if you need assistance; once completed and emailed back to us, we will write a narrative for you.

Upon receipt of the text and any accompanying photos, we will contact you with pricing and scheduling details. Once payment is received, we will provide a proof via email for your approval.

Deadlines, approvals & payment information

Please note that we work in advance; the deadline for the Peninsula Daily News is generally two business days at 5:00 PM, space permitting. No content will be printed without written approval and payment.

Payments can be made via cash, check, or card at our office (1102 E First St, Port Angeles) or by card over the phone.
